What is the exact location of the villa ?
Exactly 2 km from Antibes, on the coast towards Nice is the Vaugrenier National Park. "Les Restanques de Vaugrenier" is at the top end of the park, and the photos on the website show clearly the views over the park to the sea. Do we really need a car ? A car is recommended to take advantage of all the wonderful opportunities to enjoy yourselves, both along the coast and inland. A 45 minute drive takes you to the border and across into Italy, an easy day trip and a wonderful lunch ! How far is the nearest beach ? 1 km as the crow flies, a pleasant 20-minute stroll through the park or a 5 minute drive. There is a wide variety of beaches along the coast, all within a 10/15 minute drive. The big Aquapark at Marineland is also 5 minutesᷡy. How far are the nearest shops ? Are they open on Sundays ? The nearest boulangerie, greengrocer, butcher and small supermarket are a 5 minute drive, at Biot village, plus a grocery store open 7 days a week. Towards the Marina is the big supermarket, Geant, also a 5 minute drive; open on Sundays during the high season. How far is the domaine pool ? The large communal domaine pool is two minutes㴲oll from the villa. It does not get busy, even in high season. It has a long shallow end and plenty of space for exercise laps. How far is the nearest railway station ? A 5 minute drive takes you to either Biot or Villeneuve-Loubet stations. The line runs along the coast, west to Cannes and St Tropez, east to Nice, Monaco and Italy. Park the car and enjoy the spectacular views of the coastline. Where is the nearest really good restaurant ? Michelin-starred 峠Terrailliers鳠5 minutes away in Biot. Highly recommended. Where is the nearest lively pub /bar ? Biot village hosts the 墥rge du Coinࡠcharming bar-restaurant with live piano and jazz. Plenty of choice also in Antibes, from the friendly British-owned ᠇affe䯠젌atino毲 tapas and the 峴ralian Outback穴h wide-screen sports. Where are the best golf courses ? Golf enthusiasts are spoilt for choice, with 14 excellent courses in the vicinity. Closest is ᠂astide du Royࡠfew minutes from the villa and suitable for all types of player.See our page on Golf for more details. How far are the ski resorts ? Isola 2000 is an hourलive, Auron a little further. Both resorts have good ski equipment hire shops. You can comfortably spend the morning on the ski slopes and be back in time for lunch and an afternoon of sunbathing. See our page on Skiing for more details. |
